Student Exchange

I.Bachelor Candidates

1.Double-degree Programs

2+2 Model

The students spend the first two years in the home institutions and continue their two-year study in the partner institutions. All credits received in two institutions are mutually accepted. Provided the exchange student finishes all the courses and meets all the requirements in both institutions, he/she will get Bachelor degrees from both institutions.

3+2 Model

The students study in the home institutions for three years and two years in the host institutions. The two-year overseas study includes three semesters and international internship for one semester. Provided TONGJI student finishes all the courses and meets all the requirements in both institutions, he/she will get Bachelor degrees from TONGJI and Master degrees from the partner institution.

2.Non-degree Programs

Two institutions will exchange agreed number of students to study in the partner institution for at least one semester. All credits received in two institutions are mutually accepted.

II. Master Candidates

1. Double-degree Programs

Two institutions will exchange agreed number of students to study in the partner institution for at least one year. Provided the exchange student finishes all the courses and meets all the requirements in both institutions, he/she will get Master degrees from both institutions.

2. Non-degree Programs

Two institutions will exchange agreed number of students to study in the partner institution for at least one semester. All credits received in two institutions are mutually accepted.

III. Doctoral Candidates

Two institutions will exchange agreed number of doctoral students each year. The exchange students will spend the first year in the home institutions and continue their study or/and research in the partner institutions. Two institutions will appoint one supervisor respectively for the student to guide the graduation research and thesis. All credits received in two institutions are mutually accepted. Provided the student meets the requirements concerning the courses, research and thesis in two institutions, he/ she will be awarded the Ph. D. degrees from two institutions.
